Printing a report
How reports work, and how to print them or save them as a PDF.
Note. If you're in Member care, you can use only the Attendance report and the Member list. The others are about giving and aren't in your menu. See Roles and what they can do.
Choose Reports in the menu to see every report. Each one is made when you ask for it. Nothing is saved, so a report is always built from your records as they are right now.
The reports
- Service report: the weekly deposit sheet for one service. See Service report.
- Deposit slip: a bank slip for the cash and checks. See Deposit slip.
- Contributions report: gifts in a date range. See Contributions report.
- Attendance report: counts in a date range. See Attendance report.
- Summary report: giving and attendance together. See Summary report.
- Member list: your people as a list. See Member lists.
- End of year: giving letters and summaries. See End of year giving letters.
Steps
- Open the report and choose what you want, such as the dates or the service.
- Look over the report shown under the choices. It changes as you change the choices.
- Choose Print report (or Print list). A print preview page opens.
- Choose Print. Your browser's print window opens. Pick your printer, or choose Save as PDF as the destination to make a file.
- Choose Back to return to the report.
While a report is being made
When you change the dates, a filter or the year, the report dims and a card says Making your report… until the new figures are ready. For a big church over a long stretch of dates that can take a moment, so give it a few seconds before you change anything else.
The Print and Download buttons dim for a few seconds after you choose one. Some letters take a moment to build, and the dimming stops a second click from printing twice.
The order of the groups
Reports list your contribution types, payment types and services in the order you set under Settings, for the groups, subtotals and totals. Put the ones you use most at the top there, and every report follows. See Contribution types, Payment types and Service types.
Tip. If the page looks cramped, look for Scale or Margins in your browser's print window. The reports are made for letter-size paper.
